Nashville Film Festival Best Beauty and Styling Team.
This year the Nashville Film Festival added an Actor's Challenge. This first-time event was open to all actors 18 years or older who auditioned to work with one of three directors: Motke Dapp, Faith McQuinn, and Chad McClarnon. Each director worked with five actors ,developed a script around them and assembled a crew for each film. The films were given a deadline of approximately three weeks and screened at the festival.
My good friend director Chad McClarnon and producer Tony Dancy asked me to be the lead makeup and hair artist for their film. Our film was Aembras. Aembras is a company that promises to change your whole life if you follow the system. You will have freedom, millions of dollars and community of support. But one rep quickly realizes Aembras is nothing as it seems and maybe more than she bargained for.
We filmed for 3 days. While I was friends with most of the crew. I love getting to know the cast that was chosen for the film. Half of our cast was from Atlanta.
My biggest surprise was finding out that Nashville Film Festival gave me (makeup and hair) and Ciciley Hoffman(wardrobe) an award for the Best Beauty and Styling team. The thing I love most about films and commercials is developing an character. Being able to add to the story and also tell how the characters feels without words.
